Hangar Gallery has a new range of ceramics by Kapiti artist
Brett Thompson. Brett stocks art galleries and design stores
around Wellington and we are delighted to be stocking his work
in Whangarei. His ceramics include funky, dimpled soap trays
made by rolling clay on peg boards. The trays are then fired and
glazed in summery colours.
His sculptural ceramic rings feature chunky grids, knobs or
symbols balanced atop a ring shank, finished with coloured
glazes each one is a statement piece and surprisingly wearable.
The ceramic pendants on upcycled chains are original, and have
a contemporary, industrial look. Each piece is individually
handmade and unique.
